Katherine began her legal career at an early age, initially serving as an intern at the Prosecutor’s Office of the Department of Rivas, where she gained her first exposure to professional legal practice and procedural law.

She subsequently gained experience in business legal advisory and Corporate Law, providing legal counsel and support to companies and business owners across various aspects of their operations.

She also served within the Judicial Branch of Nicaragua, where she gained significant practical experience across several specialized areas of the administration of justice. She worked at the Specialized Court on Violence in the Department of Jinotepe, the Family Court of the Department of Masaya, and subsequently the Juvenile Court of the Department of Rivas.

This combination of specialized academic training and practical experience within various institutions of the justice system has enabled her to develop a comprehensive understanding of the law and a strategic ability to analyze and address complex legal matters.

In private practice, her work has focused particularly on Business and Corporate Law, Due Diligence, legal advisory services for businesses and investments, as well as legal support in property acquisition and sale transactions, ensuring that each transaction is assessed from a legal, registry, contractual, and risk-management perspective.

As Managing Partner of González & Associates, she plays an active role in the firm’s management and development, combining a business-oriented approach to legal practice with personalized attention tailored to each client.
